Since half of all cigarettes are consumed by individuals with mental health disorders, patients with psychiatric comorbidities should be a priority for tobacco cessation programs. In this session we will review the key patient-care considerations and the pharmacy reimbursement model for providing smoking cessation interventions to patients with psychiatric comorbidities so pharmacists are more confident in their abilities to deliver appropriate care.
