In this exercise you will take on the roles of Indigenous peoples in Canada. Standing on blankets that represent the land, you will walk through pre-contact, treaty-making, colonization and resistance. We will engage your emotions and your intellect and finish off with a talking circle debrief. Education is key to reconciliation between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples and the KAIROS Blanket Exercise covers over 500 years of history in one participatory workshop.
